Swimming pools open later on weekends

The Sports and Outdoor Life Council voted at its June 26 meeting to keep Reykjavík's swimming pools open until 10pm. on weekends starting Sept. 1. The extended weekend hours had originally been planned as a summer-only measure.

All pools except Klébergslaug will be open until 10 p.m. every day this winter. At Klébergslaug, we are continuing to expand services through extended hours and will remain open until 10 p.m. on Sundays.
